Mandy E. MacLean is a proud Maritimer currently located in Toronto.

Recent performance work: Abyss (2019, Atlantic Repertory) Ending Silence (YPU, Tarragon Theatre), Trafalgar 24 (Driftwood Theatre), Meloncholiac: The Music of Scott Walker (Summerworks and The Music Gallery). Recent Directing, Assitant and Observational work: Honesty by Jordan Tanahill for the Honest Ed’s Closing, Project Assistant to Ted Witzel on Yukonstyle (Canadian Stage). Recent teaching and facilitating work: NB Drama Festival, Humber College and Theatre by the Bay.

Her solo work hiraeth, premiered at the 2019 Summerworks Festival. Versions were first staged at the 2019 Forward March Festival and the 2018 SpringWorks Festival with support of the OAC and Tangled Arts + Disability. hiraeth explores the lived experience of Mental Health issues, their support systems, and the systemic inequalities that arise from them.

Recent training: Suzuki and Viewpoints (SITI Company of NYC  and members of SCOT). She is a graduate of Humber Theatre and the University of New Brunswick.

Mandy has over a decade of experience working with youth. She has driven a Military tank and is constantly amazed by the lack of adequate baked goods in central Canada. She is a Taurus.

She is an ACTRA Apprentice Member, and is represented by Catherine Knights at Catalyst TCM.
